With design increasingly becoming a focal point for the way many customers point to their challenges with products – it’s evident that the way in which design as a discipline approaches problem-solving has far-reaching value to a vast range of industries. With the rise of terms like “multi-disciplinary” and “omnichannel” when it comes to describing roles within the design community, it’s also evident that designers are experiencing an interesting hybrid stage of their ever-shifting function.
My strengths are building teams and culture, making sense of ambiguous and challenging situations to blaze a path forward, and threading design thinking into all facets of a company to grow design acumen and ultimately successful products.
RELATIONSHIPS// I have a track record of success with building relationships and processes cross-functionally with partners in Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, etc.
TEAM BUILDING// I've had great success with rearchitecting design orgs as well as building new teams from the ground up. Success is achieved in a way that supports the business needs as well as creates a lasting culture where team members are happy to be a part of it all and are clear on what their growth opportunities are within their chosen design career path.
DESIGN CULTURE// I've worked extensively with highly technical individuals and functions to help fold in a deeper understanding of how design can benefit the end result and enhance the quality of any digital product.
ACCOUNTABILITY// I believe that accountability is a cornerstone of strong relationships so I hold high standards for communication to ensure expectations are clear. That foundation helps make sure all parties involved and especially including myself deliver on commitments effectively.
FLEXIBILITY// I'm as comfortable staying the course as I am pivoting. I will flex where necessary to meet objectives and ensure the best possible outcome. Having lead and built fully remote teams I'm accustomed to the flexibility necessary to ensure teams stay aligned and productive given the variability of global schedules.
