Juno Therapeutics//
NEW SITE

During my time at Fell Swoop, we started working with a small company that had big plans. They happened to be growing remarkably fast and needed a website to match their growth rate as well as their exciting plans to cure cancer. We created a modular-based website that’s scalable and easy to maintain on the back-end while presenting itself as a unique custom website to their audience. We provided a fresh look at what a corporate biotech website can be in today’s modern web.

challenges were faced along the way

  • Speaking to the scientific community and cancer patients at the same time is vernacular gymnastics

  • We had to help Juno realize we were building a communication tool even though they requested a marketing website

  • Help a biotech company stand out in a blue-washed industry

solution & outcome

Juno had a great color pallet already so I explored how we could use it to their advantage. After leading the client through a workshop process to help their large team of stakeholders rapidly narrow in on what the new website could and should be for all audiences. I then lead the visual design team through a round of mood board exploration to help bring their newly developed brand voice and boldness to life. Working closely with the UX team we developed the foundational wireframes and then we moved into photoshoots, illustrations, visual design comps, and legal reviews. Finally, I worked closely with the development team to help QA the new site and then go live.

Juno launched a modern and scalable website that stood out in a sea of blue. A site that’s for anyone on any level who may be looking to learn about Juno’s plans to cure cancer. A site that communicates their boldness, their passion, and their science. A site that stands behind their motto to “Think big. Be brave. Deliver.”
